Also close by, the vast Sheraton Heliopolis Hotel Towers and Casino complex boasts almost 600 guest rooms and suites, spread over six floors, and is conveniently situated close to the lively Roxy shopping district. Amenities at the Sheraton are particularly extensive and include swimming pools, tennis courts, live music, several eateries and free transport both to and from Cairo Airport.

Cairo has long been one of Egypt's most popular cities and is a major tourist hotspot, being within easy reach of the Giza Pyramids and the world-famous Sphinx, close to Khafre's Valley Temple. Much of the cheapest accommodation in Cairo lies on the outskirts of the city centre, with a number of budget high-rise hotels located in the Midan Tahrir district. When staying in Cairo, always try to stay near the top of the hotel if possible, not only for the best views, but to distance yourself from the traffic and general city noise below.
